Discover the Redwoods

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I am a big fan of the redwoods. I first discovered them as a student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. They were the backdrop to some of my happiest times. They are also, quite simply, a beautiful tree. My debut picture book, A Walk Through the Redwoods, illustrated by Natalia Bruno, takes place in the redwoods. If you haven’t been to see the redwoods in person, I suggest you go. But if you haven’t you can take a look at my book, or Redwoods by Jason Chin.

Though you will find tidbits of facts about the redwood forests in my book, Jason Chin’s book is non-fiction, with a fun fictional story woven in through the illustrations. He provides a nice overview of the pertinent facts about the redwoods, how they grow, where they grow and what makes them so majestic.

Discover a unique habitat in the Redwoods.
